My Testimony, Louise Briggs.

I was born into a family of 10 children, 6 girls and 4 boys.
It wasn't a Christian home but it was a good home with plenty of love to go around everyone.
I was always sent along to Church and Sunday School, and it was at a Children's meeting in Priesthill Methodist Church called "Sunshine Corner" that I was taught the choruses and first heard that I needed to be saved.

As I grew up I went to dances every weekend and thought I was having a great time.
Then I got married and didn't attend Church for years.
Three of my sisters were saved and when there was a Mission in Hillsborough Free Presbyterian Church they would ask me along.
Most times I went but other times I would make excuses.

You all know the verse found in Genesis 6, verse 3, which says "My spirit shall not always strive with man".
This verse really bothered me and I would wake up in the middle of the night and think if I died and I wasn't saved, I would be in Hell for all eternity.
So on 2lst October, 1989, just quietly in the bathroom of my own home, I asked the Lord Jesus to forgive me my sins and come into my heart and life and save me, and He did.

I felt the burden of sin lift from me that night and I praise and thank God for saving me.
He is a forgiving God and He loves us so much He is willing to forgive us if we only ask.
We all go through troubles and trials in this life one way or another, and I have too, but the Lord is always there.

He has given us many promises in His Word, and I claim this wee promise that means a lot to me.
It is found in Hebrews 13, verse 5, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee".
I could recommend Him to anyone.

He is a great God and Saviour.

He has led me into the work of the Disabled Christians' Fellowship which has been a real blessing to me, and in turn I hope as a Helper I can be a blessing to our disabled friends.
