My Testimony.
Over 61 years ago a Belfast City missionary had a mission in our town in one of the churches and I went along one night.
The missionary took as his text ‘Almost Persuaded’, (Acts 26) and at the end of the meeting they sang the hymn ‘Almost Persuaded’.
I was on my own, but I knew the Lord was striving with me and on that night I trusted the Lord as my personal Saviour.Over the years there have been many trials but the Lord has brought me through them all.
I can say with the words of the lovely hymn "Through it all, Through it all, I've learned to trust in Jesus".
I can recommend my Saviour after all these years. The DCF has a special place in the hearts, home and prayers of my husband and me.
We enjoy our branch meeting on the second Saturday of each month, and the DCF Holiday Home in Newcastle has given my husband and me many happy memories. After a lot of sickness both of us needed a little break and that Christmas, some years ago, a very dear friend sent us a DCF calendar instead of a Christmas card and it was such a blessing.
I saw the Holiday Home phone number and asked if we could come for a short break. We went in February and we had a wonderful time.
Both of us left feeling better fitted for the days ahead.
We can never thank the staff enough - that was just our first time there, but we have enjoyed many times of refreshing there, time and time again. If you need a little holiday I would strongly recommend the D.C.F.I. Holiday Home in Newcastle.
