The Testimoney of Lily Booth.
Lily trusted the Lord in her daily walk, was an active member in her church, a choir member, Sunday school teacher and a leader in the Life Boys.
But just over 5 years ago Lily took ill and was faced with a situation that changed her life in many ways.
Lily had to have both legs amputated and recalls going to the theatre and the Peace of God that passeth all understanding flowed through her body.
she knew that God was in complete control of every situation. On leaving hospital Lily moved into a Nursing Home where in her room she has many opportunities to share her faith and is an inspiration to many.
She has found much comfort in the verse "Be still and know that I am God".(Psalm 46: 10)She tells how from her chair she counts her blessings - sight, hearing and freedom of speech are high on her list. Lily looks forward to visitors and she has a weekly visit from someone she taught in Sunday School.
Lily loves the fellowship through the various meetings in the Home and often sings when she has the opportunity.
We praise God that Lily is able to attend a weekly luncheon club in her own church. she also looks forward to the DCF monthly rally and has expressed how she feels a real sense of God's presence.
How great is the God we adore,
our faithful unchangeable friend!
Lily has proved that over and over again.
