Testimony.......Eric Hull.

My mother died when I was six weeks old.
I was cared for by my father, my grandmother and my father's sister (who was not married).
They were all Christians and they knew the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
I was taken along to the Gospel meeting every Sunday night from I was three or four years old, so I knew from a very early age that I needed my sins forgiven.

At 17 years old, I met a girl (who is now my wife) and I married when I was 21. Having got away from Christian influence I stopped going to Gospel meetings.
My grandmother died, and as I looked into the coffin, God spoke to me.
I was faced with the question, "If that was you - where would you be?' I knew I would be in a lost eternity but I did not get saved at that time.

Coming home to live with my aunt after my grandmother died, on the first Sunday night, my wife and I were asked to go to the Gospel meeting which we did, and indeed continued to do so.
Four months later, on 19th February 1967, we went as usual and the speaker whom I knew very well and had heard many times, took for his text - Jeremiah 8:20 - The harvest is passed, the summer is ended and we are not saved.

God spoke again to me, and this time I put my trust and my faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ at Calvary.
That was almost 40 years ago and for the last 5 years I have been involved with D.C.F.1. and I enjoy this work very much, especially our branch holiday in Newcastle.

What does the Lord mean to me today? He is my everything, he is my all.
What does the Lord mean to you, my friend?
Be careful how you answer because he is the only way to Heaven.

Eric Hull Finaghy Branch.
