A Brief History of D.C.F.I.




 


The Fellowship is an interdenominational, evangelical organisation, operating to serve the disabled everywhere, regardless of race or denomination, and is a Registered Charity - No. XR 37567.





 
    



On 23rd July, 1964 the first committee was formed in Northern Ireland and the East Belfast branch was the first in the province.

There are now twenty-four branches in the province. (See the Rallies page.)

In 1999 to meet the requirements of the Charities Commissioners in Great Britain, the Inland Revenue in Northern Ireland, and with the approval of Bristol, a separate Trust for Ireland was established.




 
 

The Fellowship is now known as Disabled Christians' Fellowship of Ireland.

The work continues under this title as before, the main outreach is through our monthly rallies held on a Saturday afternoon.
