MID-ULSTER Branch Profile.
MID-ULSTER D.C.F. was formed in 1978, and in September 2003 celebrated its 25th anniversary.
The Branch meets on the second Saturday of each month in the Adult Centre, Ho~pital Road, Magherafelt.
There is a wide variety of speakers from local churches and other fellowships in the area and further afield who bring a challenging message from God's Word. Our rallies are attended by 15 helpers and 50 members.
Some helpers bring members in their own cars and we have the use of a Social Services bus for the disabled.
A bus is also hired from the Cookstown Community Group to collect members from Cookstown and the surrounding areas. We used to have a group holiday in Stewart Memorial in Bangor, but due to lack of helpers in recent years we have not been able to use the Holiday Home.
As a Branch we would value your prayers for more helpers at the rallies and also for a better attendance of helpers at the prayer meetings.
The Prayer Meetings are held on the Monday night after the rally in Moneymore Congregational Church Hall. For our annual outing in June we usually go to Portstewart.
We have our lunch in one of the hotels or a Church Hall.
This year (04) we travelled further away - we went to Bangor and did some shopping in the Bloomfield Shopping Centre.
We then went to Trinity Presbyterian Church where we had a beautiful meal served to us by the ladies.
After more shopping in Bangor we headed for home, tired but happy, after a great day out.ANN KILPATRICK - SECRETARY.
