Larne Branch Profile.

Our branch commenced in 1976, and meets on the second Saturday of each month from September to May at Gloucester Park Day Centre at 2.30 pm.

Meetings are informal with the opportunity to chat with friends and have afternoon tea.
We join in the chorus singing and listen to the guest speakers, soloists and musicians.

Mr Sam McKibbin is our pianist and he is also an accomplished flautist.
Our guest speakers with the simplicity of their messages have reached our members in a very real way and some have come to know Jesus as their Saviour and Lord.

Distance is no problem to our Transport Manager, Mr Donald Gale and his helpers who do this very necessary work with great dedication.
Two wheelchair coaches and a minibus, provided free by Eastern Health and Social Services Board transport our members to and from the meetings.

Each month a Prayer Meeting is held in Mrs Ruth McConnell's home.

The highlight of the year for many of our members is our annual outing at the end of May.
Some of our members enjoy a holiday in the Home in Newcastle.

We have 10 helpers and 40-50 members from different backgrounds and disabilities.
Age groups range from young adults to 90 year olds.
Our Branch has much to be thankful to God for.

EILEEN STUART.
