FOYLE BRANCH PROFILE.
![]()
Foyle Branch held its first rally in September 1992.
At that time we had a membership of 25 with a Committee of 10, and our venue was the lounge of our local Fold.
We had times of real blessing there, however, after only 15 months due to increased numbers we had to look for an alternative venue.
We moved to the Baptist church hall where we still meet.
Our membership had grown quite a lot and at one time we had 70, although our numbers are now down to 60.
We are now reduced to a committee of 8.Please pray that some young committee members would join us.
A very faithful team of ladies work tirelessly in the kitchen to provide that ever welcome cup of tea.
We also have a library of books and both audio and video tapes. We have just had our Members' Day and the committee were greatly encouraged by all who participated.
While we do not have the use of Social Services vehicles, we do pay for the use of a mini-bus.We have a committee meeting and a prayer meeting each month.
At present we are planning our annual holiday (I think for the 10th year).
We look forward to a real time of blessing, as we traditionally share with the Ballyclare Branch many friendships have developed over the years.
We are privileged to have had the Faith Mission team who clearly present the gospel at our morning devotions, and a full programme of fun, food and fellowship are constant throughout the week.We give thanks for those who have sought and found the Lord in this Holiday Home in Newcastle, and trust that the Lord will continue to work in the lives of all who are involved in the work of D.C.F.I.
