Dungannon Branch Profile.
The Branch has so much to thank the Lord for.
Our membership is around 90 with an average of 75 attending the meetings each month from a wide range of backgrounds, disabilities and ages.
The two oldest members are 100 and one is 90.We have many helpers who do the various duties, which all help to make the meetings run smoothly.
Two helpers are responsible each month for running a special stall which sells home baking, jam, craft items and bric-a-brac to help to provide funds for our Holiday Home. Our programme of speakers is prayerfully and carefully chosen and a printed copy is given to each member.
Last December we had 104 present for our rally with a meal, and on that day were able to provide each one with our Dungannon Branch Calendar.Around 70 people go on our annual outing in June.
Last time we spent the day in Fermanagh.
Morning tea in Clabby Church Hall and we all enjoyed the lovely home-baking there.
Then on to Enniskillen for a tour of Castlecoole, some shopping and free time, and then a delicious meal in a local hotel.A highlight of the year is our Qnnual holiday to our Holiday Home in Newcastle.
We had a full house last August and the fact that the Home staff were able to look after some of the residents was a tremendous help.
One of the activities which took place was a horse and trap ride, everyone really enjoyed that - some enjoying the 'lift' in and out of the trap most!
And another saying that she had not been in a trap for 68 years!Others included a picnic at Kilbroney Park, Shopping in Downpatrick, Walks in Newcastle.
We had various quizzes, treasure hunt, antiques roadshow, games, sing-a-Iongs, fancy dress parade, barbecue and a video at last year's holiday!!A prayer meeting was held each morning, where we asked for the Lord's blessing on our day.
Faith Mission Pilgrims were responsible for morning devotions.
Evening sessions with a variety of speakers were times of blessing. As you can see we have so many things to thank and praise our Lord for.
